A dedicated group of individuals, part of NPS' Volunteers-In-Parks program work on Gateway National Recreation Area's collection of historic aircraft at Floyd Bennett Field. The goal is to return the aircrafts to nearly original condition, although volunteers are also building a full scale model of Wiley Post's Lockheed Vega, "The Winnie Mae" from scratch!

PUBLIC OBSERVATION DAYS: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, 9am-4pm, Hangar B

The Fort Hancock Nike Site NY 56 Volunteer Association provides free guided tours of the Nike Missile Radar Site at Sandy Hook, NJ, part of Gateway National Recreation Area. The site is located near Parking Lot L.

2012 Rockaway Artists Alliance Calendar

The Rockaway Artists Alliance presents their spring exhibits, including Blue Hues, an exhibit of artists exploring the meanings of the color blue; and Lights, Camera, Actions!, which brings to the fore the world of shadow and light.
